The Letters and Sounds Phonics scheme was devised by the DFE back in 2007. It forms the basis for most published schemes and remains the core approach taken by many schools. The file below is a rather large but details the scheme by the DFE.
We have recently adopted the Big Cat reading scheme to support the development of phonics as the main way pupils learn to read in the early years of their development. The progression can be found in the link below but please note as the scheme grows we will be adding further titles. Pupils move on from this to a core Oxford Reading Tree scheme though this is supplemented by other schemes to provide breadth and depth.
