Welcome

Welcome!

On behalf of our school, we would like to welcome you and your family to Pilsley Primary and Nursery School

We aim to create a happy and caring environment for all our children and feel strongly that to achieve this you as a parent need to feel welcome, your views listened to and a mutual trust and respect built between school and home.

We seek excellence in all we do and our aim is for every child to reach their full potential. Our school has strong links with the local community and we are always seeking to encourage and develop these further.

We believe that we can do this most effectively by working in partnership with you. We are always available if you have any questions or something you wish to share with us.

For more information and an insight into starting your child's school journey here at Pilsley, please contact the school office who will be happy to arrange a tour of our EYFS

We look forward to seeing you and your child at Pilsley Primary School.

Our Children, Staff and Governors have together chosen our school motto:

INSPIRE - RESPECT - ACHIEVE

These three words are built in to everything we do in school - the way our children and staff communicate, the examples we set for others and the aspirations we have for our future.

We aim to:

  • Ensure that every child is given the opportunity to reach his/her full potential. This will be achieved through a broad and balanced curriculum, designed to stimulate and excite young minds through creative learning and challenge.
  • Encourage, in every child, the desire and skills to investigate, learn about and begin to understand the world in which we live and fostering a life long love of learning.
  • Inform all children of their role and responsibility in society and how, through both spiritual and moral development, they can become more effective members of their school and the wider community.
  • Make the years that a pupil spends at Pilsley Primary a strong foundation for a happy and healthy life.
