Collection and Drop Off of Pupils - Length of the School Day
In accordance with government guidelines, the length of the school week is 32.5hrs. Registration is at 8.45am and any children who arrive after this will be marked late. Children who do not arrive in school by 9.15am will be marked as an unauthorized absence unless a reason is given by parents as to why their child is not in school.
For Foundation 2 (Reception) children through to Year 6 the start of the day is at 8.45am. Please check with your teacher where the class designated entrance is for your child. The children will finish school at 3.15pm, with parents allowed on to the playground from around 3.10pm. This means the school meets the expected minimum length of a school week at 32.5 hrs.
Please note we expect all children to continue their excellent standard of behaviour on collection.
For Foundation 1 pupils (Nursery) the morning sessions run from 8.45 am to 11.45am, and the afternoon from 12.10pm to 3.10pm. Those pupils attending all day or for regular 30hrs per week will have an 8.45am until 3.10pm day. These children enter school and are collected from the white Foundation 1 door.
